    Well I’m self advertising a little bit but I’m a mod of a few communities.

    • !gay@lemmy.world : I didn’t create this community or even ask to be a mod of it. The previous owner just randomly added me one day without ever talking to me (or posting anything) and then removed himself. Still bewildered by that. So it says /c/Gay but it is for LGBTQ+ folks in general. I’m also very protective of my trans homies and don’t take shit from bigots.

    • !startrekmemes@lemmy.world : I did create this one as an alternative to Risa as Risa doesn’t have any listed rules. StarTrekMemes does. Same thing applies in the sense that I really don’t tolerate bigotry and love Trek with all of my little gay heart. I believe in Trek. The ideals that it inspires and beholds I also behold.

Please do report anything that you see if you believe it doesn’t belong or violates the rules and a mod will get to it as soon as possible.

    I do moderate another community but it’s very dark humor that can be very triggering for some people and I don’t want to cause issues on that front. Wanted to really make that clear before I said what it was which is !2meirl4meirl@lemmy.world.

    !superbowl@lemmy.world has lots of cute owl pictures, and they recently did an ‘owl of the year’ bracket competition. I was rooting for the Blakiston Fish Owl, but the White Faced Scops Owl won in the end. Really positive bunch.

    The various Tumblr communities are fairly active (curatedtumblr made the jump from Reddit, but there’s a generic one too).

    !femcelmemes@blahaj.zone is a very specific kind of shitposting humour; does what it says on the tin

    Also internetfuneral made it, which is kind of low energy surreal shitposts.

    Finally there’s an active Calvin and Hobbes community, which can be a nice palate cleanser to arrive once in a while.
