I can see @nexusofprivacy@mastodon.social’s reply on blahaj.zone, but I’m not seeing it on lemmy.blahaj.zone, and I didn’t get a notification there. What happens if I reply here?
UPDATE: Now I am seeing the post from mastodon.social on lemmy.blahaj.zone but without the image (which was kind of the whole point, oh well). Not sure whether it had just taken a bit to get over there or it related to my reply in some way.
Excellent! The Calckey post wuond up coming through for me as well;; and, I edited it and that came through too. But I didn’t get a notification for either of them.
<insert flamebait reply here>
@ada @jdp23 Oh dear, here’s what this post looks like on Mastodon – blank. I wonder if bet the angle-brackets didn’t get escaped.

Yeah, a lot of things around federation with non lemmy/kbin instances are still not very mature.
@ada@lemmy.blahaj.zone I wonder if I can reply to an existing post when the community is marked “only mods can post”?
Yes. Oh my. What could possibly go wrong?
yeah. it’s amazing when it works, so it’s easy to excuse the ways it doesn’t work as smoothly as it could.
you’ve done this before, haven’t you?
I’m sure I don’t know what you mean :P
“A really nasty post that should be moderated” is now #2 on the front page … what could possibly go wrong?
You’re also in the trending communities for the instance :)
It’s for science. Your assistance is greatly appreciated!
