Growing up there was an older couple on my street who would dress as Mr and Mrs. Clause for Halloween. Santa would open the door and offer you a big spoonful of mashed potatoes! After sufficient protest Mrs. Clause would bring out the candy.
That sounds so wholesome. I’ll try to remember that idea for when I’m older.
