Hello!
I’m just learning how to use this group so for the start here is a picture of Ukrainian borscht! Here is a link to the recipe I followed: https://ifoodreal.com/ukrainian-borscht/
Mine is made with lots of butter beans and fresh tomatoes. Nothing like a good soup to nourish both body and soul!
Thanks for making this. I enjoyed eating it!
Hmm. I’m not sure whether I’m misunderstanding something, or if something isn’t working right.
I saw this original post, and your reply, get boosted into my Mastodon feed.
I replied to Dana’s original post (actually slightly before your reply Toni):
"I think it looks amazing. Homemade borshch is great.
Really good photo too!
And the recipe sounds quite easy."
But my reply from Mastodon is still not showing here.
I wonder if it is because I replied as unlisted rather than public? I will try that next time.
Anyway - consider this my reply (if it posts this time)!
Yeah there is a lot of learning in how these forums work. I have also set up a test account and a test forum on a Friendica instance, just to see how that works. I’ve also joined some existing forums using my friendica account. The problem seems to be that friendica doesn’t pull in old forum threads, not even the pinned posts (unless I accidentally joined a forum that has no pinned post, I’ll double check).
I can see your original response on blahaj.zone but not on here.

@picard@mas.to @dana@lemmy.blahaj.zone Thanks! Recipe is great. No proportions just ‘put what you have in the pot’. I love cooking like this.😆
@dana@blahaj.zone @dana@lemmy.blahaj.zone yes me too! Just make it how you like with a guide. Even with more prescriptive recipes I tend to just follow loosely as well.
