I was reading the Wikipedia article about history of China and yes, this was there.

See, I’m leaning towards them thinking the “1928 to now” statement is inaccurate.

That, from the perspective of Taiwan (aka the Republic of China) mainland China (aka People’s Republic of China) to it’s west is an illegitimate government that lays claim to lands still claimed by the RoC from before the revolution.

Cool. I was trying not to make it political, and y’all come in with some bullshit in my inbox.

Let’s discuss a political topic but not make it political. This will totally work on the internet

I don’t think disdain for a government that thinks concentration camps are a good idea is something that should be considered controversial, but that’s just me.

yes, this is part of Chinese history.

Republic of China formed by Sun Yat-sen is sincerely praised by both Taiwan & China as the birth of their modern state.

The flag is the 5 races under one union flag, referring to the Han (most), the Manchu, the Hui, the Mongols, & the Tibetians

That is the flag of the Republic of China (more often called Taiwan). You’re mixing it up with the People’s Republic of China (more often called China).
