Hey y’all,

I’m currently looking for a few more moderators to help keep this space running smoothly.

I started this community as a space for trans folks to talk about firearms, community defense, safety, gear, training, and self-empowerment — without having to wade through the usual toxic nonsense found elsewhere, as well as to (hopefully) give the users of r/transguns a space to go to, in case anything happened to the subreddit.

It’s been awesome to see people join, but I’m also modding a ton of other communities across Lemmy, as well as dealing with stress, and declining mental health, and it’s starting to pile up.

If you care about building a knowledgeable, inclusive, and principled space for trans gun owners and allies, I’d love to have your help.

No modding experience needed — just a solid sense of community and a willingness to check in when you can.

Drop a comment, if you’re interested.

In solidarity and safety, – Teknevra

I could probably help. My only real question is what mobile app is best for moderation needs? I don’t know if some are lacking features.

      Idk.

I’m currently using Summit for Android, but i would assume any app would work.

Another good app that I know of, that is Cross-Platform, is Voyager, which is available on both Android and iOS.

It also allows users to choose which UX layout they prefer: iOS or Android.

      Welcome to the team.
