Employers are less motivated to pay workers a living wage.

Underpaid as it is and got told no raise for at least a year because of the way the company is doing (this affects all staff). They’re getting a good deal. When things go well again I’m sure this time period will go under the rug. Good for them the labour market is shit right now. Ask me where my motivation is.

Most people took a paycut even if they got a “raise” so it’s not really a surprise.

Plus the planet is burning.

Heat saps energy. Despair does too.

There’s less incentive to work.

Maybe people are pissed off about being forced to either RTO or be reprimanded/fired. So they either quit or in the meantime put less effort in.

it all feels pointless. after 2020 we know they can just pull the rug on everything…my generation and future ones know that there probably isn’t a future because we’re still polluting even though if we stopped now we’d all be suffering anyway so…full steam ahead i guess
