    We already live in the cars universe. That’s the satire. A fictional world built exclusively for cars looks the same.

      Interesting hypothesis.

      Mine differs in that I presume ALL cars in Cars to be self-driving cars. The concept of something like Waymo would be foreign to them because, well, they all can drive themselves.

      Does anyone know if we ever see taxicabs in any Cars franchise film? That would shatter my previous notion for sure, because why would they need passenger vehicles?

          It is unknown why the Cars world would need taxis as they are already cars and they definitely could not fit inside one. The same applies with the buses.
