    No religion is going to tolerate all of us. They are designed to control and regulate the masses. Stop looking to these leaders to be the progressive movement that belongs to the people. Stop using the system to change the system. It clearly hasn’t worked and it’s not going to start now.

      In my 39 years of life, I have literally never seen an example of christians in positions of power that weren’t dogmatic assholes. I was born into a country run by christian nationalist bigots that used the bible to justify their apartheid. I grew up knowing people who were just as ‘christian’ as they were racist and homophobic. The catholic church has had a pedo problem since before I was born. The boarding school I went to was run by reborn christian hypocrites that were some of the nastiest people that I’ve ever met. And now look at what the christians are doing in the USA.

      So I’m sorry, pope. It wasn’t gay people that drove me away from the “christian message”. It was christians that drove me away from it.
