Bloodsport was great. You can skip the two Stardom shows as they’re just tag shows really. Marvelous had Nyla Rose destroy someone. The Clusterfuck was alright but def watch at least the last 10-15 mins it’s relevant.

I have never been less excited for a WrestleMania. WWE’s booking under Triple H went from fairly tight and good to Vince McMahon level’s of horrible, IMO, in less than 2 years.
To be fair, I’ve never been less excited about mainstream wrestling as a whole, WWE is sucking on all levels again, and AEW is just spinning their wheels with Moxley and his knockoff Bloodline while we wait for Darby to jump off a mountain, I really wish TK knew how to pivot and they ran more soapy stories over cool matches. Toni has been my favorite part of AEW and it’s super Soapy.

Based on this I was expecting the quote to be horrible, but it’s not that bad, it’s something you would expect of these types. And it’s not completely wrong, somebody somewhere likes his charisma because he sure as shit is a cult leader.

WWE under Vince was heavily involved with Donald, Vince’s wife works for Donald destroying the US Education system, let alone the rest of the country, Triple H sat behind her during her senate hearing, Dana White has been his friend for years, Joe Rogan also a Trump friend, Ari Emmanuel long time Trump friend, WME has ties to JD Vance as they publish his book… I mean if you thought TKO was some kind of paragon of decent morals…

Most people in entertainment are shit. In fact, most people are shit. So, not really sure why folks choose to clutch their pearls when an entertainer (including wrestlers) says something they don’t like.
Man, fuck off forever with this shit. I’m well aware that many people in entertainment have bad opinions, but I do have lines I won’t cross, and “But you gotta admit, modern gold-plated Hitler is really charismatic” is way the fuck over on the other side of the line. And HHH isn’t just a wrestler, he runs the goddamn company.
Of course, I already wasn’t giving WWE money since 2018 when they passionately defended their relationship with a regime that tortured a journalist to death with a bone saw, so I’m sure they will continue to not miss me.
What indie shows are people exited for? Outside of the Collective I’m not sure what’s worth catching this year.
Definitely going to watch Effy’s Big Gay Brunch, because Kidd Bandit vs ZSJ should be a banger. That is a Collective show, though.
Also getting it because I have a friend who’s a recently-returned lapsed fan I’m watching AEW with, and she jokes about how gay everything about the show is (in a complimentary way). So I intend to show her exactly how gay wrestling can get.

Stardom is putting on a 2 night show iirc, my excitement for it has actually waned. Seems (rightfully) they don’t wanna compromise ASGQ, so the US shows are STARDOM vs Local Talent™ tag matches, basically. Still maybe worth a watch but not the good shit ya know?
