Hello, welcome to !stem.
This is a new community that is not a moved pre-existing community from reddit. I am new to community creating so advice and ideas will be welcomed!
I have not put up any rules/guidelines since I can’t think of many than just ‘respect others’ and ‘zero tolerance for bigotry’. We as community can work together on some rules as we grow larger.
I don’t envision this community to not be against science fictional discussions just put ‘[SCI-FI]’ in brackets at the start of the title.
On the note of brackets in title text, we should make that a common practice in the community so people can easily navigate to topic field they have an interest in.
Examples: [BMED-SCI]/[MECH-ENG]/[COMP-SCI]- Biomedical Science/Mechanical Engineering/Computer Science, etc.
That is all for now, if you have an other ideas on how to make tagging easier or alternatives to it please let me know in the comment section! :3**___**
Question. Is this community about education? Or are those topics rsther than degree paths?
I guess I have some ideas for what kind of articles or videos I could post here. It’s refreshing when I find a community that… well, supplies something that is in demand, as opposed to copying a format that has worked.
Hi, thank you for your question!
This community is not about education routes (although, they can definitely be discussed here!) It is a place for people who are new to STEM and people who have been studying it for long time.
I intended this place to be an area to talk about any existing STEM topics or their own or new research and ideas that are either exploratory/ongoing or based on pre-existing ones.
There is no limitation to any topic as long as its not discriminatory in nature.
I hope this answers your question! If you have any other questions or ideas please tell!
Hey thanks, Posh. Sounds great and I’ll start posting in the near future.
