According to Retail Brew, Costco’s increased foot traffic reached the 13-week mark during the week of March 17. As a Canadian trying to boycott a lot of US companies, Costco gets a pass for me because of this!

Now when I go to Costco, I look for things that aren’t specifically US made and try to find alternatives.

But seriously, good on Costco for standing up for human rights.

    Fuck Trump!

Costco is also known for treating it’s employees well.

Costco is pretty good about stocking local products, so you should still be able to buy Canadian.

They repatriate their Canadian profits to the US so your money is helping fund trumps warchest. They also aren’t especially progressive when it comes to dealing with all of their suppliers.

Can you please expand on the second part? Which stores are a better alternative for that, genuinely asking? It would be silly to have an image that Costco is perfect, but they still seem like a “least bad” option that I’m not aware of many alternatives.

Yes this increased foot traffic is certainly due to their DEI policies they haven’t advertised since February and not because of the very clearly impending economic collapse

But won’t Trump make an executive order forcing them to stop DEI’ing?!? 🤔

It’s starting to seem like none of them were doing anything illegal, but most of them were cowards at best.

Good for Costco. Maybe next they can focus on improving customer experience. I let my membership expire because I got tired of feeling like a confused cow who the butcher suspects is an impostor and not actually part of the herd.

Probably the Marxist policies of having samples on multiple aisles in conjunction with requiring that you must but two of the muffin trays for the offer price. Trying to figure all that out while also picking out items from a shopping list when there are several bulk choices for each is too much for any reasonable person to be expected to handle. Thanks, Obama.

P.S. If they have a fuel center as well… Biden did that.

Maybe it’s just my local store, but stuff I regularly buy gets moved often so I’m always wasting time looking for it, the cash wrap at the front is a logistical mess, the payment and pickup procedures at the snack bar are convoluted, and if I want to pee before I shop, I have to present my card to the gestapo and then navigate through all of that mess. It’s uniquely user-unfriendly among retail establishments.

They only make money off memberships, so they take it very seriously.
