Announcement on Steam.

Hello, this is Project Moon.

Currently, Limbus Company supports a total of three languages: Korean, English, and Japanese. Unfortunately, as this is a live service game, it is difficult for us to add official support for additional languages while simultaneously working on constant updates.

Therefore, in order to ensure that players can access the game with better convenience, we intend to add support for custom unofficial translation mods.

Please view the steps below for a guide on how to install custom translation mods; we intend to apply gradual improvements to this function as well. If future updates or improvements for this function are deployed, we will inform you via an additional update.

We wish to express our most sincere gratitude to everyone playing Limbus Company, and we will try our best so that you can have a better experience enjoying our game.

Thank you.

  1. Install the newest version of Limbus Company and find the installation folder. (starting from Version 1.73.0)

  1. Find “LimbusCompany_Data/Assets/Resources_moved/Localize/” folder.

  1. Verify the original folders and files(kr, en, jp), copy the aforementioned files, and apply your translations.

  1. Find the “LimbusCompany_Data/Lang” directory. If the ‘Lang’ folder doesn’t exist, make one.

  1. Make a new folder and designate a name.

  1. Add your translated files to the folder.
  • The structure of the folder must be identical to the original files.
  • Please remove the prefixes in the json file names.
  • (X) KR_MainUIText.json, EN_MainUIText.json, JP_MainUIText.json
  • (O) MainUIText.json

  1. Within the same folder, create a “Font” folder, and add your prepared fold files into the said folder.

  1. Find the “Lang” folder again, and adjust the contents of ‘config.json’. If the file does not exist, make one and fill the contents as seen in this screenshot.
  • This file looks for the folder with its name written in the file and runs the game with your language of choice.
  • The contents of the config file must match the top folder name of your translation files.

  1. Run the game and verify that the translations have been applied properly.
  • e.g.) Try changing the text in the button at the bottom left corner of the screen.
  • Original: Clear all caches
  • Changed: Custom Translation

Note) If you have applied 2 or more languages, use the “Select Custom Language” button to choose the language you would like to play the game with.
