    Okay, this is serious, and we should all be concerned. Still, I’m going to laugh my ass off if the microplastics that threaten our population also increase the albedo of the earth, thereby reestablishing homeostasis in a two-fold way.

      not being overly optimistic, but I don’t think it is very serious - basically microplastic here are acting as soot or smoke particles and acting as nuclei - they can not be present in large amounts due to weight, so this is just as bad as having smoke in sky - not good by any means but not any worse really.

    Water vapor has a greenhouse effect for the planet, so this is another bad thing we’ve created with plastic.

      Clouds also reflect light so they cool a bit during the day. And there’s the same amount of water in the atmosphere whether the water is in clouds or not.
