You would expect something like “before I had my first coffee” because that’s what people do with mugs: they drink coffee. But there are other things you can do with mugs too. Things you don’t immediately think of but once it’s pointed out to you, it’s obvious and totally normal thing to do.
the joke is that “smashed my penis flat with this mug” is an inherently funny thing to say, and it’s even more absurd when it’s printed on the mug in question

Showed this to my straight cis and old boss. We both love this joke and think it would be a hilarious mug to encounter in the wild. Idk what’s not to get. It’s humorous because it wildly betrays the expectation of what one would expect to see on a mug by being absurd and vulgar.
