Here’s a source for my claim - I couldn’t find any better ones after a few minutes. According to this: The ASP [average selling price] of the North American smartphone market reached its historic Q1 record high of US$790 this year. Yes, the low sale of budget phones certainly contributes, however, the market for premium phones grew by 33% from last year. With more and more people having more and more expensive phones, how will having replacable batteries while being waterproof drive up the price?
