Wait, can people sleep with the noise of a fan in the background? I like complete darkness and complete silence.

Because this is not an option for 99% of people. Even if you are in the sticks you get the bugs making noise.

Me too, but I don’t really feel that bothered by it.

That would be ideal, but a problem arises when there isn’t complete silence in the background. Noisy neighbors, housemates, cats running around in the hallway at 3 in the morning. The fan noise mutes it to some degree, and then you begin to register the fan as silence-adjacent.

I need my fans in order to sleep. Their worship is what sets my mind at ease. If I am not lulled into slumber by their jubilant adorations I will wake with a great and terrible vengeance to wreak havoc upon this ungrateful earth

I can’t sleep in silence because I got idiot tenants I live around that got to make noise at night. They don’t know what volume control is.

I don’t sleep with a fan, it blows air on me and that sucks becaue I’ll wake up with eye boogers and my eyes will feel weird. I don’t understand how people would prefer that

I can understand the noise aspect though, even if I don’t personally like it. My parents have used a little noise machine for the past 10 years.

Honest question: I always have my fan, even in winter, because of the noise. I haven’t found a video that sounds the same, they end up sounding like static or something. Maybe flat? Anyone actually know of one that sounds like a good fan?
