    This is just me, but… When I say a word with two of the same sound right next to each other, I add a small “rest” (a glottal stop) in between. That feels right to me.

    When it’s not (two of) the same sound, no glottal stop.

    (e.x. “íi” ón “EE ee”, “síkheén” ón “SEE heh EN”. Sáso “nái” ón “nigh”.)

    Khía nái khí? Á?

    Sáso séne uá Uá khué sána? Úna Nátiv Ámerícan uá?
