This isn’t really a big news story, Bernie has been doing this pretty consistently. Yes, he was doing it under Biden too. Yes, this is purely performative, it won’t have enough votes. No, this isn’t antisemitic.

Which is why the media often goes out of their way to ignore him.

You seem to not read the article you posted: “He is steadfastly defending Biden’s record over his nearly four years as president, with some criticisms.”

He also goes on so say Biden is the Democrats best choice and supports him

Criticisms is right there in your quote.

Biden did a fine job as president except for two little things. Gaza and Marrick Garland.

As to supporting Biden, no shit he did. At the time, Biden was the president and had been elected via primary as the Nominee. And as we know from recent history, not supporting the democratic nominee means that the Republican wins.

No, Biden did terrible overall. A highlight would be making it illegal for railroad workers to strike. His foreign policy was awful as well, not just Palestine.

Bernie had the following to start a new party, but is likely being blackmailed or bribed to keep people in the “Democratic” party.

The rail strike was bad, but then Biden turned around and got the rail workers almost everything they had been asking for.

As to Foreign Policy, what specifically was bad? The pull-out from Afghanistan? It’s hard to stick the landing when the guy before released 5k enemy fighters while reducing the US military presence to less than a skeleton crew.

But other than that, the US was mostly respected by the world under Biden. We had some bad trade deals from Trump, but were working on fixing things.

As to splitting the Democratic party, that’s a great way to never win elections again. Because you cannot have three viable parties under First Past the Post voting. It’s literally impossible.

In what you read in the articles is he ignoring the children being bombed? Both instances dating back two years addresses bombing that would affect children.

I think what they’ve done is far more than merely defending themselves.

Yes, Hamas is evil and did heinous things to the Israeli people, but the response was disproportionate and targeted civilians. Even the lowest estimates show that one in every fifty people in Gaza have been killed, and that number includes mostly women and children, not combatants. Heck, other estimates show nearly double that death toll.

And let’s not even start on the forced displacement of almost a million (!!!) people.

The UN has published the estimated deaths to be at least 200k+ because of famine and the lack of medical care.

          • Humanitarian aid was blocked
          • Food trucks were stopped
          • Hospitals are bombed

Oh yeah, no doubt about it. I just can’t ever know how many bodies are under the remains of their buildings. I imagine that could even be a conservative number. I doubt they were doing a census.

It’s making me sick thinking about it every day and I’m so privileged to even have the luxury of giving a shit.

Oh yeah, I’m using very low numbers (ie. just the bodies who have been identified) so there’s little room for argument. The actual death toll is unknowable because it’s so large.

To add to what the other guy said: As Hamas is an insurgency working in territory that Israel is illegally occupying, Israel does not in fact have a right to defend itself. It has no right to do anything except get the fuck out of Gaza (including its territorial waters and airspace).

They have a right to defend themselves when they are being attacked. They fucked around and are in the process of finding out. They don’t have any right to defense when attacking first.

It’s really simple. Russia attacked Ukraine so when Ukraine occupied Kursk, Russia has zero right to complain.

The money for these “sales” is aid from the US government.

Israel is unique in that they are the only country that gets its aid from the US government on January 1st, with interest, in cash. They have to use a part of it on American weapons and the rest they just get in cash.

I’m sure Sanders also has a bill or intentions to stop that, but that would be a separate bill.
