No, it’s up to the judiciary and legislature (who the people elected). Unless of course you mean solving the problem like an unnamed plumber who fancies green.

Ukraine “elected” a Russian stooge who tried to sell them out and they burned shit down and shot up police to run him out of town. Americans are broadly both complicit and complacent.

How many months did it take to do that? I’m pretty sure a strong approach would be met with a considerably more lethal response, though.

What I’ve seen on the ground here, too, is not complacency. The Democrats are, but the people are protesting almost every day somewhere in the country independent of party. It just hasn’t gotten violent (yet), as I think we need some of our gun crazies to turn on Trump.

Hol’up. We’re turning to big, bristly men’s men to save us? Not the timeline I thought I was on, but I’ll see how this plays out. 🍿🤓🤷🏼‍♂️

You must understand that the republican traitor filth will not hold trump to account. Surely you know this, deep inside. Dems can’t do fuck all without a majority in the House and 67 seats in the Senate.

I don’t think it’s clear, given the known massive voter suppression, and the likelihood of machine tampering, that we actually did elect him, but you’re still right. The people have to hold him to account, because nobody else will.

A system that would allow someone like Trump to hold office is defective and illegitimate.

I’m so tired of people saying this. Not that you’re wrong, just that it’s a terrible mentality for us to move forward. We are going to need our neighbors, regardless of political background, more than ever in the coming years. And constantly saying “I told you so” is only going to piss them off to the point they will never have your back. Besides the obviously racist and misogynistic ones, a lot of those that voted for Trump were just ignorant about what he was going to do.

Believe it or not, there are people that don’t use social media, or watch the news, or stay up to date on current events. Some people don’t even have a smart phone. They just live a quiet life and vote based on the party without knowing a damn thing about the candidates. And some people are just more susceptible to propaganda. But if you blame people for being ignorant instead of trying to educate them you are only exasperating the situation. As soon as you call someone stupid for something you basically discredit everything you are going to say after that because they’re not going to listen to you anymore.

Many voted for Trump because of singular points that they felt was important and chose to ignore other his other bad decisions because they thought they were special and he wouldn’t touch them.

But a lesson that everyone should learn from the playground is that bad people don’t just do one bad thing. They will do everything they until someone stops them.

That’s why non-Trumpers think Trump voters are dumb. Because the signs were as clear as the day that he would do all kinds of nasty shit.

Educate them? Even after all that’s happened since 20 Jan, many don’t believe that their vote wrought this hell upon them. It’s easier to train consequences to lab monkeys.
