          Ancient Athens is often considered the birthplace of democracy, and it’s where we get the word from in English. In Ancient Athens, and if my memory serves correct, only those who owned land were allowed to vote, and only male citizens were allowed to own land. The definition of “democracy” is quite more elastic than people tend to think.

          Don’t really know where I’m going with this, I think I’m just being a pedant.

    Social democrats with useless measures, we cannot fight the bourgeoisie at this level, only with broad popular support, the real conquest by minds and hearts for the radical left to be able to actually operate concrete changes in society and overcome the bourgeois logic rooted in all spheres. We need the dictatorship of the proletariat!

      If there was a credible alternative to the left of the socdems and you were arguing for supporting it, your post would be an argument and probably a valid one. In the absence of one, your post is a wish, a prayer, a hope. So quit sniping at the left that exists and build the alternative.
