Upvoted because I used to be vegan (sorry you’re still at 0). Now that I can afford it, I adopt chickens when I can, and they poop eggs no matter what, lol. I hate unethical breeding. Animal testing, especially on primates, freaks me out. Imagining people hurting my birds breaks my heart break, as well.
Also, people hate vegans because they hate themselves. They know it’s true, but people hate taking responsibility for their actions if it inconveniences them. I’m over people saying what’s right is “preachy.” Power to you.

I think adopting chickens that need a better home and not shopping for them from breeders is totally reasonable
I agree. I’m down with most domesticated breeds dying out. We just need to take care of the “undesirables” while people are still breeding. All my animals are problem animals, so I got them for free. I love them to death. It seems like people are catching up a bit with the fall of SOME puppy mills. Let’s be nice to all scrollers and get them over here.
