One of Neil Gaiman’s publishers has dropped him as the British author faces multiple allegations of sexual assault and harassment.

    Whilst this is good in that hopefully he slowly has less and less power and influence the more important thing to take from this is that we need to stop teaching people that such things are what they should be doing or aiming towards.

    That you cannot go around abusing people and not caring about their boundaries, autonomy and consent because such things do actually start very young, unfortunately.

    Consent, boundaries and autonomy should be the first consideration in every interaction and relationship. It should not be controversial nor embarassing to say that or to do it, yet somehow it is for many people and that is both sad and deeply troubling.
