Most all of this system of control was predicted by Orwell, Ministry of Plenty concerned with rationing, Ministry of Peace concerned with war, Ministry of Truth concerned with disinformation and the Ministry of Love concerned with torture and interrogation.

Thank you. Pharma has other issues that aren’t good for society but believing this is for the absolute tinfoil hat crew.

Is this /s or not I can’t tell. Well they definitely benefit from drugs that you have to constantly take. For years. Until you die. That’s their business model. If there could be a drug that cures you instantly, there is no effort to develop it by this company who sells you this constant supply of drug. So yes. Pharma has an interest in you staying sick enough to need treatment and not die.

This is common knowledge. And now this country wants to prevent people from getting vaccines. Not my fault you haven’t been paying attention.

Pharma wants to keep us sick by keeping us from their product? Hear yourself mate!

I am semi-certain that because of their corporate interest that the orange fucks cracker won’t dare ban it!

For sure, via increasing prices not by selling snake oil

What part of our medical science do you doubt? You mentioned that they wanna ban vaccines so I reckon you trust them, what about surgeries, prescriptions? Maybe diagnostic tests?

We must have got mixed up. I don’t doubt medical science in any way. My point is that the corporations dealing the stuff would rather withhold an actual cure if it means it’ll make them more money. Failing that, they’ll jack up the prices.

Except that finding a cure for any disease would be insanely profitable. I think even health insurance companies would prefer that their members are healthy so they can just charge premiums without having to pay anything out. This whole “big pharma is hiding the cure for X for profits” conspiracy has always been garbage when you actually consider it for than a second

You’re right, one tries to kill you after they’ve extracted all your money, the other bribes journals and regulators to get you addicted to drugs that kill you after you can no longer afford them.

Which opioids? Codeine? Wont even relieve your stronger headache

Out of curiosity, as a bioengineer, what do you think what opiods are?

Guys this is kinda crossing the line into conspiracy theory territory and, to be frank, enables the whataboutism on the right. Generalized assertions based on “common sense” aren’t insightful or illuminating. Please stop.

Sorry miss chinabook(?), I just wanted to help a brand new community that was still empty yesterday. I know this post is low-effort but it was one of many. I’m going to step back so other content can make its way to the top. I look forward to your contributions in making this new lemmy community great.

At some point you will realize you’re not considered equal in the eyes of the law or rulers of the country.

When that happens you can join the rest of us in reality, until then please stop helping the enemy lest you get confused for them.

… conforming to whatever billionaires say does not make you credible.

It is a fact the US economy is built on consumer debt, there is more unsecured credit card debt in the US than the rest of the world combined.

It is a fact the FDA directly, explicitly, and knowingly caused the opioid crisis.

I agree with you completely, but the meme is making much more sweeping generalizations which are a bad look. It feels less like the substantive arguments in your comments and more like the Tea Party.

It’s from shitter or bsky, There’s a character limit. It is, however, largely correct.

The tea party had the right words, with the wrong intent, like the Nazi party when they pretended to be socialist. Libertarianism is a socialist ideology, the name was just coopted.
