dude I get you’re pissed off at us but please chill. We haven’t removed anything you’ve posted because that goes against our ethos, but every single post or comment we make has had at least two paragraph-long fuming comments. Lay off it already. You got everything you wanted. You have your own community, and this one is reopened as well.

You don’t see any reports from a non-local account.

Dude… This is a report from an LBZ user, a report against an LBZ user, and a report resolved by me from LW, and all three of these reports were viewed from my non-local account.

You could also have simply opened the modlog to see that you’re wrong. 🤷‍♀️

If you continue to insult us or any other user on 196, we will take the appropriate action against it.

So you are telling us that even now you don’t have a functional Blahaj account?

No, because up until yesterday I wasn’t aware that Ada wanted us to have one. The only reason I know about the federation issue was a message I got from Qaz 7 months ago saying there were unresolved reports from SDF that we never got on LW or LBZ.

Depends on how much longer my patience lasts. 🫠 Frankly, if we get any more stuff like this from this user, I think I’m going to consider it spam and deal with it as such.

If he’s literally harassing people you should take action. It sounds like that might not be the case though, since neither LBZ nor .world have recent record of mod actions against Blaze other than you guys power tripping and removing a post critical of you - only to then restore it after it gained traction on c/PowerTrippingBastards.

I’ve only seen Blaze be critical of you and the other mods here. If that’s what you’re referring to, then it isnt harrasment but dissent against you and the other mods’ abuse of power. If you’re referring to some other instances of Blaze harassing community members, then take impartial action to protect the community and dont complain about it here.

There’s no mod actions because I’ve resolved the reports against him without action. Harassing and insulting me is one thing when it’s in the spirit of criticism, but he started doing it to another user unrelated to any of this before I went to sleep last night.

So I told him to chill, and he seems to have done that.

hi bud, i’m with you in your disagreement but this type of post makes us look like shit

no need to do name calling—the mods are getting plenty of pushback without it

Sounds like their application fell through the cracks (not surprising on a small-scale service) and they never did a thing to remedy the situation.

I have a local account and anytime we got the “reports are piling up” message from Ada it was maybe 3 reports that were less than 12 hours old. We never had reports older than 2 days at least since I started helping August 7th, 2023. I check everyday, if I wanted another mod’s opinion of a report I left it up while I waited for a response but we never just ignored the reports. I’m not sure where Ada is coming from saying that the admins needed to hop in to resolve reports.

She went and removed/banned people that we had already resolved reports on, that was our main concern. We asked for her to let us know if there was any holes in the rules she wanted us to fill so the ruling is consistent with the rules we have posted and she basically just said she’s going to do what she’s been doing.

On the second point… I remember when moss had to make one, because of exactly that issue.

He should have told you that, it really isn’t a new thing. It’s also not an Ada thing, it’s not her fault and it’s really not unreasonable to expect mods to… actually be able to read all reports.

I’m so lost in the vagueness of this comment.

I remember when Moss had to make one

of what? A local account? That was my first sentence. I have a local account.

He should have told you that

told me what? Who are you talking about? Moss?

        it’s not her fault

Never said it was??? At no point did I point fingers at Ada for anything??? I’m confused by her statement that reports were frequently left to rot, which just wasn’t the case at all. She said no mods with local accounts were added and that led to reports piling up. I have a local account. I frequently saw the reports tab have zero reports. I’m not saying she’s lying, I’m confused by our difference in what happened. It’s entirely possible she mixed up report logs. I don’t know, I’m not omniscient.

not unreasonable to expect mods to… actually be able to read all reports

Again, we read all the reports. We never had more than 10 at a time even during shitstorms and the queue was constantly empty.

I’ve frequently seen misogynistic posts or comments removed only after 1 or 2 days which is basically useless on a platform where posts get most of their views and interactions in 1 day.

We remove them when they’re reported or find them in the field. I go through most posts of the day but it’s entirely possible I didn’t click on every single comment section. The extremely long ones load really weird for me, I find that most posts with 100+ comments tended to be the issue but the community usually does a good job reporting trash comments pretty quickly.

We’ve had people assume that because a post was 1-2 days old, the comments were also exactly that old, so I’m not sure if that’s what you’re thinking of… on the more extreme side we’ve also had 7-day old posts still racking up new comments that I had to lock because it was getting out of hand.
