Tomorrow Donald Trump will take the oath of office again. By spurning economic populism and embracing Bush-era Republicans, Democrats helped pave the way for his second inauguration.

Democratic Political Establishment: “I will slit your throat with a rusted spork if you even think to take my defeat I so rightly stole from victory’s jaws!”

Like had fours years to prep literally anyone to take Biden’s place, decided “Nah fuck it! We run dementia man!” And then last moment was like “WHAT?! Dementia man not popular? Fuck it, we’ll just select whoever ourselves fuck all those primaries.” $10 says they learn absolute jack shit from this.

Remember in 2016 when they ran a deeply unpopular woman against trump, who alienated voters by being herself?

Flash forward to 2024 where they ran a deeply unpopular woman against trump, who alienated voters by being herself.

The good news is, in 2028, trump won’t be able to run again. So they won’t have the option to run a deeply unpopular woman against trump who alienates voters by being herself.

…oh god. They’re going to run Elizabeth Warren, aren’t they?

You are assuming that there will be elections again. I’m not convinced.

I’m always suspicious of this sort of analysis because what are they basing it on? If you have no data, you’re just speculating about what would have worked and that’s just lazy. For every analysis saying Democrats were too bipartisan, there’s at least 5 others saying they were too far-left. They’re all equally lazy, just relying on the author’s blatantly biased speculations.

I can think of two things that are too obvious to be doubted about this last election: 1) Inflation and the non-informative way the media covered its causes drastically harmed Democrats 2) Biden was a terrible candidate due to being old as fuck and shouldn’t have run. Anything else, bring evidence.

For an example of a non-lazy opinion that focuses on actual data about why people voted one way or another, this is the best one I’ve seen.

Trumps victory squarely falls on the shoulders of the Democrats and the greater left. Not some genius plan from king Cheeto. It was a master class in how to lose an election by the Dems.

I really REALLY want them to learn their lesson but I fear they super won’t.

      the greater left

This is how we know you are ignorant and don’t know what you’re talking about. The Democrats are center-right, and the left view the majority of the D establishment and political class as the same corporate oligarchy of the GOP.

Not voting for Kamala was a vote to let Trump destroy the US and pull the mask off the whole “democracy” charade.
