The 2020 presidential election, which happened with Trump as president, saw Biden become president through cheating but the 2024 election, which happened under Biden who apparently cheated previously, was a-okay and saw Trump win? Are Republicans just really bad at election security and Democrats just super lazy at cheating when they get into power?

This article refers to voter confidence in the elections, not the validity some Republican politicians might assert towards an election.
Basically, what this confirms is, that since Republicans won the elections, Republican voters are more confident that the elections were valid. This isn’t because they believe the fact that US elections are extremely secure. It’s because they won, and it’s their natural response, through confirmation bias, to immediately see the fruition of their own desires as “valid”. As such, they then project that sense of validity onto anything that might positively influence their own validation through confirmation bias.
