A yes, Texas, the state that contributed to get those assholes in power. Condolences to those who fought and have to suffer, but a hearty fuck you to the rest.
The other person is definitely callous but like this is the obvious result of a Trump presidency.
Cruelty is the goal for Trump and his administration.
If we care about everything bad that will or might happen we’re going shut down and give up. We only have so much bandwidth for terrible stuff.
Sorry boomer, don’t give a fuck.
Medicare is the program with age based eligibility (primarily, disability can also be a qualifier).
Medicaid is the program for the poor. Boomers likely will see cuts to Medicare, but this shit is just punching down on the poor.
Well, poor maga poor then. Consequences.
Cry me a river.
I shouldn’t have used shame. Family habit and I apologize.
I get the cynicism. But 47% of the people on Medicaid are children. This will affect many more people than maga poor.
I would be very surprised to find out that the majority of Medicaid recipients voted for Trump. But as long as the right people get hurt, you give zero fucks.
You sound no different than MAGA.
If I had my way, those people would have affordable housing, public health care, and a fat ham for Christmas dinner. They get to have it THEIR way, and I don’t think it makes one the same as a right-wing dipshit to think that self-inflicted injury is very funny.
I agree, but read the whole comment chain. It starts off with fuck boomers. When they’re corrected, well fuck the MAGA poor, they’re getting what they deserve.
The entire context of the conversation is an article outlining all the people this will affect.
And even in the MAGA households, do those kids deserve to lose healthcare because their parents are easily swayed by a hypocrite and professional con man?
I shouldn’t have used shame, and I apologized to them for that. But their comment was still overlooking a lot of people that this will affect who did not vote for Trump.
I would not be surprised, but it would be disappointing. I want to believe people are smarter than voting against their own interests. But I’ve been proven wrong in that so many times I don’t have any faith.
47% of Medicaid recipients can’t even vote. People are lost in frustration and despair and in their cynicism losing sight of the bigger picture.
Most of them probably couldn’t be bothered to vote. So they’ll now deal with the consequences of their inaction.
