In other words, no they’re not on the cusp of a ceasefire deal.
At this point it is more like gaslighting than anything serious. And the USA mainstream press, and a big chunk of the press in the EU eats it up, again and again.
A quick look at any Arabic based press quickly restores a sense of reality. As different in perspective as night and day
I saw this reply, went to see what Al Jazeera has to say on it and found this from two weeks ago:

So… Yeah, no ceasefires happening anytime soon.
and i bet they’ll still be on the cusp of a ceasefire deal six months and however many thousand dropped bombs from now.

And I took that personally.
If that was true, it would probably be a good idea for Hezbollah to triple their security around whomever they put in charge of negotiations, just in case the IDF decides to put a stop to it via murder again…
I will believe it when I see it
