I think of it more like Bi+ or Bi Premium because you get more content than traditional Bi.

Bisexual is the umbrella term, which pansexual is under. Bisexual just means “attracted to your own gender and other gender(s)” and pansexual makes that more specific

Bi: I like my gender and other gender(s), and I may or may not have preferences/exclusions (the “my gender/other gender(s)” language is important because bi doesn’t inherently exclude enbys, etc)
