oh yea, it’ll be all “we need to come together” and “we’re going to help everybody” for the next 2 months

then, the instant he steps into office, freedom of speech: gone. freedom of the press: gone. EPA: gone. dept. of education: gone. SEC: gone. consumer protections, civil rights, equality, accountability, justice-- all. fucking. gone.

expect mass imprisonments, assassinations, and other removals

“that can’t happen in this country!!” you might be saying. why not? because of “checks and balances”? LOL

you have about 2 months to prepare your asshole

and we’re leaving out implications at the local level. why would a trumper sheriff bother going after someone for murdering marginalized peoples? why would any lawyer take up any case against a trump appointed judge (spoiler alert: it’ll be all of them, soon)?

Also, remember that this follows HOT on the heels of SCOTUS saying “basically anything a President does is legal”. This theoretically means Trump and his admin could sidestep Congress entirely, on anything. Trump was already ruling by EO last term, but I suspect we haven’t seen anything yet.

Kinda makes you wonder why Joe Biden didn’t take advantage of that at any point over the last several months when so much is at stake.

There’s actually so much at stake that I lost track of it all. Absolutely mind blowing that a single American could vote for him let alone the majority. I do not understand why Americans hate America.

Yeah I’m making sure to tag all of them for future tracking. Learned that lesson with the NAZIs, if this is ever over not going to let them quietly slink away. When this inevitably starts going south and these same assholes are bitching and whining about how the economy is a trash fire and their rights are being shit all over I’ll be there to remind them they wanted this.

I’m pissed that Biden didn’t drop out way sooner. I’m pissed the Dems didn’t let the people actually pick the nominee. I’m pissed Harris shifted to the right and paraded around with a Cheney.

Well, on the bright side Kamala will get her wish of a Republican in the presidential cabinet. /s

I mean, at a certain point we all already know that trump is vindictive, he’s racist, he’s a rapist. I will blame his supporters, and u will blame third party voters. They know who he is and still let him in. Our institutions are still weak from the last time. I hope democracy survives

The Dems should have done better. But it’s the people who voted for this.

Yes, let’s blame the voters for losing the election…

Not the Democratic party or their candidate, because clearly only voters can fail them, they can’t fail us.

R2O spent months posting “don’t vote for Biden” articles and then a short time posting “don’t vote for Harris” articles until changing their mind.

Please do not try to rewrite recent history.

There is going to be an assload of fingerpointing.

Here is my take: even if Kamala won, there is a deep rot that we would be in denial about. Trump should have broken the Republican party but did not and instead galvanized support through misinformation, lies, and hatred. That would not have been cured if Kamala won. At least now we have to be honest with the state of the US.

Still, we can hope he dies of a heart attack.

The people who will be in power around him might well get rid of him themselves for all the use they want. He’s getting them to power. Vance and Musk and Thiel and whoever the fuck else don’t care about Trump. They want power.

Americans… maybe… at least those stupid enough to vote for this guy again.
I feel bad for the Americans who knew what Trump stood for and voted Harris to at least prevent that.

The rest of the world doesn’t deserve this though… And Trump will still affect them and their lives in many ways.

Rex Tillerson was a legitimate good conservative pick for the position and made me think maybe Trump would surround himself with competent people. Well, on Rogan’s podcast he said his biggest regret was not picking loyal people. We won’t have to worry about accidental competency this go round.
