Trump said. “You will be protected, and I will be your protector.”

jfc i can’t decide if that’s more cringe or more fucking creepy. it’s like something a red-flag-saturated men’s rights incel would think is a pickup line

Many of the women who support Trump are also devout Christians. They see Trump as sent by God as a protector and that he’s surviving assassination attempts because he’s shielded by God himself. They believe Trump is God’s shield to protect women and Christians from the world. In many Christian homes, there’s already a very clear gender hierarchy with men above women, and many Christian women grow up with it and accept it as God’s design. They may also face significant pressure at home to accept Trump no matter his behavior.

Trump has also really ramped up the religious rhetoric about himself when speaking. He knows the dynamic by now. It’s pretty wild.

yea, trumpism has been a cult since the beginning. recall /r/the_donald

unfortunately, deprogramming brainwashed cultists is an extremely complicated time consuming process. and there are millions of them

At a town hall event on Friday, Moreno bemoaned the fact that abortion has become the deciding issue for many suburban women, calling the notion “a little crazy, by the way, but especially for women that are like past 50. I’m thinking to myself, ‘I don’t really think that’s an issue for you.’”

The concept of empathy is completely foreign to these ppl.

Trump once told a story about seeing a man bleeding out in front of him after falling down. His first thought was that the blood ruins the beautiful marble floor. He’s a sociopath.

The whole statement was wild. It was like some kind of surreal art on display, showing how a narcissist sees the world.

Getting mansplained about how to take care of yourself by a convicted rapist, though, is perfectly okay with them.

On a walk through the woods, would you rather encounter a strange man, a bear, or twice-impeached former president Donald J. Trump?

My personal hierarchy here would be:

      • Bear
      • Random man
      • Swarm of giant killer wasps that will chase your ass for miles if you piss one off
      • Dangling over an active volcano like a rotisserie chicken
      • Encountering trump anywhere

Although… if it’s -just- us, no handlers or secret service, I’m pretty sure I could easily fuck him up (and not in a way he’d enjoy). I may be a tiny disabled woman, but he’s a senile old fuck (what is he, almost 90?), who can’t even get his posture right, and those tiny hands are made for reaching into other’s pockets, not grappling. What hope does he have against a former wrestler and military vet, even a broken one?

I think it might be worse to encounter a twice-impeached former president who was found liable by a jury for sexual abuse.

And he hasn’t changed since the last two times, other than being worse. Everyone knows how he acts and nothing he says matters.

His past treatment of women, his extensive damage on the US Supreme Court, and his religiously misguided base that inspires the decisions he makes might all suggest otherwise.

The only way he’s physically capable of protecting anybody from anything is by it getting stuck to his sticky gross skin and being unable to get away.
