    Having a poorly written piece of software write a story for you is neither a class or ableism issue.

    I could buy it if they were defending tech that actually actually made things accessible, like using your voice or physical accessibility tools etc, or for class issues: open source software that isn’t a glorified predictive texting machine using other creative’s actual work, or pirating software but… come on.

    Full disclosure: I think LLMs are pretty cool tech. If you mess with the settings enough they can come up with some pretty weird stuff, a bit like the old dice based story telling games.

    That said, pressing the “generate” button is not “writing”.

      They’re also stealing other people’s writing to train the AI. So that’s why authors are pissed at it. They never gave permission to use their works and were never compensated for the use
