Saw these while looking at apartments but have no idea what they are. they were found mostly on carpet, but some were in other parts of the unit.

edit: after looking up the suggestion of carpet beetle I am fairly convinced that it is indeed what they are. I also saw a few adult beetles that look like one of the species found in photos online. thanks everyone.

Did they look hairy? It’s hard to see in the picture. I think dermestid larvae. Also, is that hair in the picture? That carpet looks sketch AF.

Dude gross! Keep looking, that’s not the apartment you want to live in. I thought that was a patch of hairy skin with bugs all over it.

The bugs look similar to ones I’ve found in some old Ramen noodle packs, but IDK WTF.

I wasn’t planning on it. After I left I tossed my clothes in a bucket of brewery caustic. Some of the places were nasty and I don’t know how anyone thought they were fit for viewing, let alone rental.

They showed you the apartment in that condition?? 🤢 I’ve seen some egregious things while apartment hunting but that’s some slum lord shit.

it was some rental middle man agency and she apologized claiming to have no idea what went wrong there. she said there was record of a cleaning crew showing up but no further details that would normally be on file. cleaning crew probably noped out of there, I know I would have.
