X is now a Right wing porn website.

    Fun.

I wonder how long the credit card companies are going to allow it. It’s always been Visa and Mastercard pulling out(lol) that’s pressured other major websites to remove the sexual content.

Is it time to flood the site with Musk’s face photoshopped on random naked people, then?

And there will be protections in place to prevent CSAM, right Elon? You’ll be rehiring all the moderators you laid off?

X has been toying with the idea of fully embracing adult content and has even planned a feature for adult creators that could position X as an OnlyFans rival. That plan was delayed, Platformer reported in 2022, after red-teaming flagged a seemingly insurmountable obstacle to the launch: “Twitter cannot accurately detect child sexual exploitation and non-consensual nudity at scale.”

The new adult content policy still emphasizes that non-consensual adult content is prohibited, but it’s unclear if the platform has gotten any better at distinguishing between consensually produced content and nonconsensual material. X did not immediately respond to Ars’ request to comment.

Elon is tanking Xitter. It’s the only explanation.

I remember someone else saying that the reason for Elon and all the Saudi money going into Twitter was to ruin a chance for anything resembling an “Arab Spring” from happening again. I would imagine adding porn to Twitter would help with the cause. It’s also why I think the government is weary of social media they can’t control well such as Tiktok. They want to remove the collobration social media provides when it comes to telling the news.

Only thing is that X is the 11th most popular social media. There’s a reason the revolution is on telegram

The difference is it’s now officially allowed. While it was there, it was in a “grey” area.

Was it not allowed before? I may or may not have seen explicit tweets.

Smart way to try and save his dying platform, and maybe even get people to pay.

Horrible because X has axed their moderation team and demonstrated an abysmal record moderating content. Add in the much higher stakes and complexity of moderating adult content and it’s a recipe for disaster.

You think it will offset the ad revenue and subscriber loss?

It seems like this will further shrink the company pretty rapidly, especially without content moderation.

If by “save”, you mean have payment processors pull out, I guess so?
