    From the article…

    In one of the options being discussed, Germany would bring back a compulsory military year for young men once they turn 18, which was suspended in 2011, and apply it to women as well. This would require a change to the German constitution, but is seen inside the ministry as most likely to receive societal approval.

    The cynic in me is wondering if this would actually receive societal approval or not.

    Usually people don’t like voting for a draft, especially when it’s them or their kids that are going to be going into it.

      Yeah, SO weird that people don’t like to be forced to kill or at the very least facilitate killing. Such a weird preference!

        Well, I was focusing more on the (not) dying part than the killing part, but yes, those who morally object to killing will also have issues as well with supporting a draft.
