Taken with our new OM-1 MkII and M.Zuiko 100-400mm. I LOVE this camera!
Image description: Three Little Black Cormorants, sitting on rocks in a shallow brook. Two of the birds are holding their wings outstretched
“whats so impressive about this?”…clicks on image… “Oh wow”…click on the magnifing glass “holy crap!!!, so much detail on each feather and iridescence colors, and the spots around their eyes!!!”
This camera has a “bird detection mode” that spots them and gets the focus right on their eye! It’s amazing. It makes it possible to catch them on the wing.
It also has a “pro shooting” mode that captures in to a buffer as long as you half hold the shutter down, and then dumps the buffer to the card when you do a full press. Which means that you can use it to capture moments that require exact timing!
@ada @bblkargonaut what is the brand and model of camera?
It’s an OM systems OM1 Mark II, with an M.Zuiko 100-400mm lens
It’s Australia - better make sure they aren’t lethally poisonous!
Wings are really cool.
