The president has made a number of promises on the campaign trail. Here are some of the policies Biden says he would enact if elected for a second term.
Voters don’t pay the campaign bills like the wealthy corporate donors.
Technically, the government is doing a great job representing wealthy elites and corporations since we have allowed them to equate free speech with money and to be legal persons.
So if you want real change, start with the laws that allow corporations to donate unlimited funds to people to express their opinions and influence law makers.
The real issue is that Republican voters have bee fooled into thinking that their chosen party representatives will do anything to change their quality of life or address societal issues. At this point, they are just sending a message that they are unhappy with the establishment and Democrats within the government because that is the target that has been painted for them by their equality corrupt Republican leadership.
The fact is, both sides suck and answer to their corporate overlords and wealthy donors. NOTHING will change until these fundamental perversions of our government are addressed.
Until then, business will continue as normal with a myriad of distractions in the form of class warfare and cultural war topics that are just symptoms of the greater dysfunction and corruption of the democratic principles the country was founded upon.
Don’t get me wrong, these cultural issues are valid and is what separates the two sides, but it is just the thin veneer on the true problems of the current political system. Both sides are not the same in the sides they take on cultural issues, but they are both in fact influenced and controlled by the same wealthy corporate interests.
While one side may support women’s reproductive freedoms and improving infrastructure, while the other wants to build a wall and kickout immigrants, they don’t really care how the outcome affects the normal citizens so long as it doesn’t interfere with wealthy or corporate interests.
