    I think this is something that e.g. the EU should look into. Breaking a product for a number of people by adding shit like this after launch should at least be elligible for a refund or straight up banned.

      Unfortunately, I doubt there’s anything that can be done legally. It’s announced, promoted, and sold as a Windows game. I don’t think they have any responsibility to make sure it works on other platforms, though I think they should do it anyway.

      That said, if these companies want people to depend on their servers to play games, server-side anti-cheat makes a lot more sense and is a lot more effective. But they don’t care about what makes sense.

    The problem is not the cheaters, it’s the amount of money they earn from mining your data unrestricted with kernel level access. It’s a fucking gold mine.
