I always made sure to never use those. That being said: Tell me more about that genre if you want, the pic looks cool
Its taking place in modern times but is told like a classic gothic tale. But the supernatural forces have digital origin. The stories channel the anxiety and fear of being an individuum in the current digital world with all going on. Technical and societal. This is similar to the role gothic literature had at its time.
