10 years ago, I’d have put my ability to visualise at 0 out of 10. Practice and occasional halucinogen use has got me to 2 out of 10. It causes no end of problems in day to day life, so I’m interested to hear if anyone has tips or just experiences to share so it doesn’t feel such a lonely frustrating issue.

    Face blindness is a different thing but I’d be shocked if there wasn’t a huge overlap. I’m not severely faceblind but I have to practice to be able to kind of remember what a person looks like, even my immediate family. I practice by paying attention to noticible features and trying to commit them to memory as words. Like last year, when I was starting a new school program, if two people had similar hair colours and builds I had to actually think to myself stuff like, ‘X is the one with big dark eyebrows, and Y is the one with a pointy chin’.

    I’m also not 100% aphantasic but can’t seem to picture things as fully or accurately as most people. When I read a book I’m not usually picturing what the characters look/sound like.
