I have known I need some irl connections for a while, and was browsing Meetup looking for the right event at the right time and then covid basically killed half the groups I was watching. I’ve been trying to find some local LGBT+ groups because I really need some open minded friends.

I’ve been hanging out on blahåj lemmy for a bit, and it has been by far one of my favorite instances. Beehaw is up there too though! Definitely the best two larger ones I’ve come across.

I’ve been checking out some discord servers too and it’s nice sometimes to drop into an ongoing chat, but these really only go so far as they’re still fairly impersonal.

I’ve not found any local discords, assuming they must be private if they exist.
