Warner Brothers is the bigger issue AFAIK. The animated stuff is fantastic, its just the live action that typically sucks ass.
In my eyes, that speaks to a mentality of not acknowledging animation as a medium, and ignoring it regardless of its success; ie, lack of interference from execs allowing things to run smoother
