    A boycott without a predetermined end date is going to be more effective.

    Hopefully everyone uses this as an opportunity to figure out new suppliers (which I know is not easy at all).

    Otherwise it’ll just push purchases to a week later, won’t even affect the quarter.

      The dates make it specific and actionable. Just saying boycott Amazon is obvious but doesn’t rally people like a time sensitive group effort. And it’s not really pushing purchases. Lots of people just buy everything through Amazon so this gets people to try alternatives and if a few of those stick as long term changes it’s a net win.

        Don’t disagree at all.

        But compare to the sugar boycotts that helped push Britain out of the Atlantic trade in enslaved people. Years.
