Just deleted my 12+ year account on Reddit and I’m still feeling weird.

Was a long time lurker. My grand total of upvotes reached 4K!

I used Redact to remove my comments; there were so few posts I could delete them on my own.

Experiencing those feelings of ‘oh, this is a toxic relationship; but I really don’t want to leave because there’s this groove and so much history’

That’s it. It is HISTORY.

and now I’m out

    In no way do I have power at reddit. I was a long time lurker, maxed out at 4K karma/internet points, and none of my posts/comments got more than a few hundred votes. I was/am on no one’s radar.

    I have my GDPR report.

    On reddit over the past few weeks, I edited my posts to garbage text. Then, after learning about Redact, I deleted all of my comments and posts. After a few more days, I deleted my account.

    Reddit, as I knew and loved it, is dead.
