One day we may need to have ads to pay the bills if we have another massive Reddit exodus. What are your thoughts on creating an alternate one that says something like “your data not tracked or sold”?

I’m hostile to ads, fully and openly and I’d rather pay than be forced to look at ads. But that’s just my personal opinion and I would not want to impose it on anyone. At least, I think that’s also what freedom should mean: the freedom for anyone to disagree with me and me with anyone ;)
The first version of the file had no mention of ads (I simply deleted it by mistake ;) and you can get the SVG here.

You’re welcome. Even more so than you are perfectly right! Lemmy being ad-free is so f. good. While I was making that silly image, in a hurry in the middle of another job, I had a line about ads (I hate ads) but somehow managed to delete it :/
Can someone make a version of this saying lemmy has no adds. I think that honestly is the best selling point for reddit users at this point.
