Summary

During a House Oversight Committee hearing, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) repeatedly shouted an anti-trans slur despite objections from Democratic Rep. Gerald Connolly.

She defended her remarks by attacking transgender rights and dismissing criticism.

The outburst drew condemnation from LGBTQ+ advocates and political figures, highlighting her shift from previously supporting LGBTQ+ rights to embracing anti-trans rhetoric.

Mace has used the slur in past statements and introduced legislation restricting transgender rights.

Okay, so that all on the surface sounds noble enough and like a good faith stance. Until the very end, where your personal comparisons again come through in an attack. Again.

So, let me put out where I’m at…

Trans people are pretty much hated and harassed at all corners of the internet. Called slurs openly now in the government BY elected officials. They just want to live their lives and not deal with the bullshit. I’m not saying a lot of them are sensitive or overly sensitive, but a truly mature person should see when a beaten dog doesn’t want to play and leave it alone without getting mad at it. The fact is that you either don’t get that or refuse to leave it alone with understanding. They banned you so you would go away. You continue to antagonize and demean people who demand respect.

To put it into perspective, imagine you asking a group of black people what the slurs are for black people. Ridiculously insensitive.

That’s why I think you need to grow up.

Edit: yeah I looked at your comment history. You’re a troll, that’s why you’re here. I see that you really AREN’T here for good faith conversation. I won’t be responding here any longer.
