I am of the opinion (or maybe it’s just that the evidence I have is) that cis people don’t tolerate cross-sex hormones, and I tend to think if you aren’t having a bad time on cross-sex hormones you’re some kind of trans. I get that the “still cis tho” is a bit like the “men having sex with men” label, but I also read between the lines with those folks. (If you think this is offensive, I think it’s at least important for clinicians to be able to read between the lines like this so HRT isn’t denied for people who probably do need it even if their self-conception is still resistant to being “trans”.)
