Summary

This victory makes Trump the first U.S. president to serve non-consecutive terms since Grover Cleveland and the first with a criminal conviction to hold office.

Democrats were shocked by the loss, particularly as exit polls revealed significant shifts among key demographics: Latino men favored Trump by 10 points, and more voters identified as independents or unaffiliated.

The economy was the top priority for Trump supporters, while Harris voters emphasized democracy and abortion rights.

The election also showed increased dissatisfaction with the country’s direction, as 72% of voters expressed anger or frustration.

…and as usual they will blame the voters.

“Did I fail to excite my base and fail to make them think I had their interests in mind?”

“No, it’s my base who is wrong.”

You don’t even have to guess, it started immediately. As soon as the results were called, the Democrat line has been “Harris ran an immaculate campaign with no problems, everyone who didn’t vote for her is a Nazi.”

But seriously, fuck voters who need to be excited. You think I adore Harris? Fuck no. But I know how an election works, like every adult American ought to by now, and the immediate alternative was worse.

Some people genuinely struggle with ‘do you want worse, or better?’ Like they cannot comprehend it, unless ‘better’ is exactly what they personally want. ‘If you don’t pay this bill, we’ll repossess your car.’ Yeah but I want this money, so I’ll just ignore that. Hey wait my car!
