I used to know a vegan “hunter”. His buddies would bring guns and he’d bring a camera. His idea of getting a “kill” was getting an incredible wildlife photo. I always respected that.
He’s not vegan, just doesn’t see the point in yet another family member taking game when there’s enough to go around already. We vibe like that, me and him, but I never had good cameras when I tried it lol.
He’s gotten old enough that he’s not doing it as often, but he usually goes out whenever one of the younger generation go on their first trip.
He’s a film only photog though. He does it for pleasure, and enjoys the entire process too much to go digital.

Not vegan but this is also how I “hunt.”. It pairs very well with my love of the outdoors.
